I have no interest in Afterpay whatsoever -- that includes using it or buying or shorting its shares, at any price. I simply thought I might be able to offer a perspective that isn't seen here. My personal opinion is the greatest risk to Afterpay lies in credit risk from its customers, especially if there was to be a pronounced economic downturn. The next biggest risk is the increased competition from the flood of bnpl providers, which, as Klarna has pointed out, will make 6% merchant fees ultimately unsustainable.
