I’m not sure how many competitors MAQ have that are small & agile enough to offer tailored solutions, have the required level of data security rating for Govt, can provide web access (with strong cyber security focus) as well as telecommunications, and can then offer DC integration with capacity for expansion & again with the required data security rating.
The very high user rating scores & stickiness of customers achieved by MAQ would also make them a
clear choice, but also I suspect the positive user ratings would mean that MAQ are pretty good at selling themselves & pitching for new contracts.
MAQ is very much a one-stop-shop in that regard for a large Govt department like the ATO, it seems like a bit of a no-brainer to use MAQ although Govt departments aren’t known for doing things in the most efficient or logical manner.
