The uncertainty is around the absolute death / serious illness rates. And the "uncertainty" seems to be ably fueled by media and governments. 2% of 100m people is a problem. 2% of 100,000, over a longer period of time isn't a problem.
WHO (who ought to know) does provide some certainty in real time. And at the moment they are essentially continue trade and travel as per normal. With the caveat that they are concerned about nations with poor health systems .
But like all bouts of "uncertainty" opportunities arise so I have transferred more money into my broker account. The only problem I now face is just where I should put it - so many opportunities! Looks like NZX is opening with a 2% drop.
