There is an entire beneficiation plant at Christmas Creek - supposed to upgrade and improve the ore, in existence. Not a small building, three flours, must cost tens of millions, at least.
It has not been used for at least two years, not sure if the process (beneficiation) was in place last year.
As I understand, the improvement using magnetic separation can to the final product is up to maximum of 3%.
Hope that price of ore will be enough to warrant the new improvement. Of course, depends on Vale situation, I will not be surprised if they increase production at the end of the year......
