I do agree that there is a demand for new housing.
Here is one of many such article, supporting that view and no money needed to be paid to a big accounting firm to figure it out.

2 billion divide by 80 divide by 100 and you get the number of HXs needed to build those houses at the rate of 1 every 3 days.
But to suggest that x number of HXs are required to build a number someone decides is the required number of new houses and then equate to future demand for the HX is fanciful in my view.
There are so many reasons why different building methods and materials are chosen.
Please don't misunderstand me.
If FBR could get its act together and stop stuffing about with chickens and word games,
actually build 10 real houses in the real world for people to live in,
report some revenue in a quarterly, I would declare that to be magnificent.
