Some charts/info from the BoM and ECMWF for those concerned about TC Damien damaging the Altura mine and triggering an insolvency event.
In summary:
* The forecast consensus is for the eye of the storm to land near Karratha and progress SSE. There is a less than 5% chance of the eye passing over the AJM mine.
* The expected wind level at AJM for the most likely track will be 50-60 kms per hour at worst.
* The expected rainfall at AJM for the most likely track will not exceed say 20mm over a 3 hour period at worst.
* There is a flood warning for the Pilbara Coastal Rivers. AJM is near a tributary of the Turner River, quite upstream and should be safe from inundation.
* The weather threat to AJM should be over by evening.
