The demerger is definitely going ahead. They would not have gone through all the preparation for nothing. The ATO has not been mentioned as a problem or delay in the last 4-5 announcements where the demerger was mentioned. So that must have got resolved. I expect the same CGT rules apply as any other demerger. The only issue I am aware of that was holding things up was how non-domicile investors would be treated. I understand that was minor and got resolved too. If any such issues were not resolved they would not have scheduled the demerger for this quarter, see quarterly report.
