Chinese Walls, that's what he means. A few of us have posted about this before. An investment in CNP/CER for profit or gain would have to be done by the IMD (Investment Management Division) of an organisation such as Colonial for CBA or MLC for NAB or BT for Westpac and they would not be allowed to inform management responsible for lending to CNP for example that this has been done.
That's the theory anyway. Is this effective in practice....who knows?
