Possibly... the broker share data for 5 Feb is published. Top net sellers were Commsec, Third Party Platform, AIX, CMC markets, Morgans, OpenMarkets, WealthHub and Hartleys (and Instinet in 2nd). Apart from Instinet, the rest are retail-oriented brokers. Net buyers on the 5th were Merrills, CS, MS, Macq, JPM, UBS, all mainly institutional (and 1M shares for Argonaut, which I believe is retail-oriented). It wouldn't surprise me if you saw net covers on the 5th (but not necessarily gross position as we have discussed elsewhere).
