highlandlad, if the ASX is not careful they will bite off the hand that feeds them. think about all the retail investors that have been cleaned out and will never return to the market. So they pick up a little bit on short sales, but decimate the retail guys in an unfair and unjust way. short selling should be banned. this is not what the market was made for. It was made for companies to seek capital to expand business and for investors.

CFD's should be banned just like bucket shops were in the early 1900's.
