Hello Sahana, Yes it could not be Banned in general becuase of a Situation like, when You have bought a Share and decide to Sell that Share before that Share is Chess registered which in a way is a form of Short Selling. However I feel Directors need closer Surveilance because in the main they're larger Shareholders of Company Shares and this would no doubt put them in a position of a Target for Short Sellers, who at some Times may even find information about a Company before that Company's Directors. There needs to be a Rule and a System ,where a Company Director CANNOT on lend their Shares. I wondering if some Short Selling System came into play during the decline of the Resource Sector in association with the demise of Opes Prime.
