why are you puzzled? technical analysis has nothing to do with the "news" and it often a rare day that "news" affects market outcome.

i'm sure like everyone else here, i get a huge kick out of seeing how the "news" is often made to fit what the charts were telling us way ahead of time.

personally, i do best by focusing on the short term. i try to not anticipate anything beyond a month ahead.

so, i have absolute respect for the likes of san felipe and voltaire, etc. who i consider to be some of the finest in cycle forecasting. ahh...and whyme - i love his charts. and andrewfromperth...really nice work. and even that perennial bull who keeps forgetting to not apply too much pressure on the keyboard, robbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb. lol.

while i may not always agree with their analysis, they often force us to focus on the long term picture at play.

anyway - enuf time wasting from me. it's the weekend with much to do.
