Depends on the Field life.
Eg: 14yr field life can have fixed/flexible tenure terms, ie 2x5 years fixed at say xx mil/yr, 4x1 year (annual contract) extensions for the rest of the life. Running cost is the Opex for the operator. If they buy the vessel then depreciation is their friend. Either way 1.5-2bil capex should b recovered in a few years (ie payback) depending on the oil price (60USD) & production rates (15, 20, 25, 30 mmbbls for the course of first 4 yrs).
