This graph bells the Anti-Vax cat in a way they dont understand ( or understand but deliberately avoid ).
The most common rejoinder to a graph such as that is the claim that this was all due to increased hygiene ie we had better hygiene after 1932 so vaccines had nothing to do with that drop in notifications.
So I guess we would see the same in measles , because its the same hygiene that was improved .
Wrong
The fall off happened after 1964 . Damm , I must of learned how to wash my hands after 1932 , but some how only learned how to wash them to make diphtheria go away , but not learned how to wash my hands to make Measles go away . I only learned that method after 1964 .
Vaccines of course couldn't be the simple explanation .
