Car broker, Transol apparently are not true video, just very fast digital still at something like 30 frames a second. Nestor is pure video, they had a lot of trouble at night and finally fixed it with massive banks of lights. Only trouble was the lighting was then above maximum acceptable standards and word round the traps was that they and the city were sued following a very serious accident said to be caused by the floodlighting. I think Nestor are still having troubles at night.
Haven't seen the Transol system working, their claim to fame is that they do not dig up the roads with their 'non intrusive' technology but they sure dig up the footpaths. A contractor who works for all three, that is Transol, Nestor and Redflex, is reputed to have said that Transol is the most complicated and expensive to instal with Redflex being the least complicated.
Obviously the Transol claim to be able to have a system installed for less than half the cost of competitors is fairy land stuff same as their claim to be profitable at 20 installed systems.
A local broker actually did a favourable report including that profitable at 20 systems bit, doesn't say much for the quality of the broker's research. Same broker was also a strong supporter of Poltech even when the dogs were barking and one 5 minute look at Poltech's accounts told the sad story.
