Wow, what a bullish finish to the day. I actually thought it would finish a little down today.

While I was sitting on the toilet, I happened to see an old book on the floor and I read the back cover. I'd thought I'd post a small insert. It's not directed at anybody, more a reminder to myself and something I'd like to share.

"Losers adopt the wrong approach"

Why? Because stock brokers, fund managers and the media focus entirely on what shares to buy, with no guidance on which shares to sell. This is compounded by an absence of advice on TIMING. The result is that beginners buy and sell at the wrong time. They buy too late, after the rise has finished, or too early, hoping a fall will finish. Even when they buy at the right time, they snatch at profits prematurely and ride bad investments too long.

All very basic stuff but I still want to fight it sometimes. That's enough of that, I've got to go wash my hands.
