This sounds like a very promising trial for VPR; but I was wondering if Chevron decide to go ahead and replace their 100 odd diesel powered light towers at Gorgan with the Ecoquip 'turtle friendly' version (which frankly seems like a no-brainer unless the Ecoquip product doesn't work), what will they do with the existing 100 diesel powered units?
Transporting them back to civilisation for appropriate decommissioning or re-selling seems like a logistical nightmare & likely very costly. I guess they would need to do it in smaller batches & I doubt Ecoquip could provide 100 units without a fairly long lead-time in nay event so maybe I've answered my own question.
