My theory is buyers accummulate as the price starts to edge upwards (courtesy of the large orders bolstering the buy side and giving buyers a sense of confidence). When the props are pulled, stoploss orders are triggered causing a flood of selling that the accummulator then buys at the lower price.

This seems to be what happened yesterday, it will be interesting to see if the buyer bids stay to the end of he day. No one seems to be getting carried away with the buying so far.
