There are two ways to have a recession/depression.
The way creditor and hard currency nations have them (eg. the world in the 1930's and Japan in the 1990's), or the way fiat-based debtor nations have them (eg. Germany of the 1930's and Zimbabwe of the 2000's).
Either way, it sucks.
