Hi all I recollect reading recently somewhere who has published book/articles from declassified second world war documents.. about similar type of manipulation done by the then US Government in the past. The shocking news was "US government had advance intellegence waring about Pearl harbour attack by Japanese. As the popular support for US entering second world war was not there at that time the then US Govt deliberatly did not pass the information to Pearl harbour base. The consequenses now everybody knows. This has changed the public opinion overnight etc... US Govt of the day didn't care lives of its own citizens..well in modern terminology it is "collateral damage" friend or foe.. for a "percieved" cause. There are several other precedents" Lies to scientists who created the Atomic bomb that they will be exploded in sea not on populated areas. Using atomic bomb second time even knowing consequences & japan was ready to surrender. Vitnam war ..well countless other incidents..list goes on..It is a false notion that Goverment would protect every citizen. They would only protect "interests" & citizens"aligned" with those interests..the rest are sacrificial pawns either "economically or just simply pay thier lives for greater cause " Just my observation.. no hard feelings to anyone.. The only law micro or macro is "Might is Right"..
