@Aggedor have to distinguish between whether it is supply or demand affected by the shutdowns.
From what I understand, the battery grade hydroxide that we are most interested in, which is used in the high nickel batteries, is consumed in Japan and Korea. China is a supplier, not a consumer.
The Japanese and Korean battery manufacturers are working, but if the Chinese producers aren't, hydroxide prices will rise.
Different story for carbonate, where domestic demand in China is a much bigger driver.
We may see a blow out in the hydroxide to carbonate premium.
