    pinto, I trust you have seen what happens to an economy where the virus is being controlled or not controlled. It goes pear-shaped buckling under regulation and fear.

    I'm not being pig-headed or fanciful here nor do i suggest we stop international trade, domestic manufacturing or whatever. We aim for as much as we can get. We temporarily alter the economic approach to safeguard economic output. Incumbent upon that is spreading the pain to take from other supported sectors to support those hit by travel restrictions. It's all temporary of course.

    Your way is to watch more of it crumble, declaring it is the best way to avoid 'devastation' but then allowing it to happen. We need space, we need preparedness, we need smarts to do the game-theory number crunching. I haven't drilled down into specifics but intuitively I suspect it is the wiser path.
