Whats also unclear is whether USCOM 1a has FDA approval still, it was granted FDA approval in 2005, and CE Mark approval in 2003. So perhaps they have changed the model in a way that requires reapplication in both US and Europe. They only just received reapproval in China, they had it a decade ago.
