Is is possible that ML still has some NDO to offload and is doing that bit by bit each day? Now that they are being (have been) taken over, there is probably a further look at (non-core) asset holdings and a clear-out could be on the cards.
If so, then the selling should stop at some point, followed by a significant price trend reversal.
