alone havingWho only has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no one of men has seen nor is able to see, to whom behonor and eternal dominion. Amen.
No place in the Greek for you tampered version.
alone havingWho only has
Hi Wotsup,
Now you are clutching at straws.
It means the same thing, but if you had actually looked at the Greek, "alone having" is the literal translation.
And to boot, over a 30 odd year period, more Word/Spirit (Glory John 17:20), without measure was instilled in Jesus (The Temple), he was dressed, put on the incorruptible.
Wotsup,
Jesus is the 2nd Adam. He came down from heaven. Jesus was never corrupt, he never sinned so had no need to put on the incorruptible.
So Jesus only has immortality because, he accepted and abided in the Word = the word of God.
Wotsup,
The 1st Adam was made from clay, a natural body but was never meant to die. He was immortal but sinned so death entered the world.
Jesus was from heaven, the 2nd Adam, he was immortal as the 1st Adam was in the beginning. Jesus never lost that because he never sinned.
But he was murdered and died for our sins but death had no hold on Jesus.
Acts 2:24 - Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
