kincella. Well said. Mr Rudds trip was planned several months ago and it had nothing to do with the present economic crisis. My recollection was that it was indeed to push Australias case (whatever that is) on global warming initiatives.
And as far as Australias popular media goes, Kevin07 and labor got a "dream run" in the media during the election campaign. Nothing that Mr Rudd advocated during that campaign was ever put to the blow torch by the media. The now proven flawed concept of putting computers in schools readily comes to mind as one example of this failure by the media. The media in this country is controlled by one player. Do you think that it was merely a coincidence that Mr Rudd made yet another trip to N.Y. to see this major player BEFORE the campaign began? I am still awaiting the payback gifts to that media entity from a still very grateful labor government.
