positive outcome from senate enquiry

The senate enquiry which was delaying implementation of the regulations to legislation introduced to give an up-front tax deduction for the establishment of carbon sink forests has now finished and filed their report.

The majority committee view was in favour of the legislation as previously passed, and presumably the regulations will be passed shortly.

This should provide more certainty for those companies thinking of investing in a carbon sink.
