An article on BSM in today's Age has got me thinking, and I quote
"Bass is also going to be worth watching on the CORPORATE FRONT. While Bass has got the Que River/Hellyer deposits and surrounding exploration ground, Aberfoyle's old treatment plant is owned by Bass' 23% shareholder, Intec. Intec is a metals processing technology group and is trading at all of 2.5¢ a share after stopping its Hellyer tailings retreatment project because of low zinc prices. That means that Intec's Hellyer treatment plant is idle."
Now what do we make of the above comments is it pointing to BSM making a bid for the Hellyer Mill or INL, after all INL don't need the Hellyer Mill as the MRP is a stand alone Operation / Plant. Could this be part of the 'significant pre financing announcement' pending? INL have about $5 million in cash, however that said they also own a very prized asset in NW Tasmania one which junior miners like BSM could only dream about getting their hands on.
So why would Mike (CEO) of BSM want to share the spoils with INL (Toll Treating Ore) when he could make a bid for the whole company on the cheap. At 2.1c INL is very vulnerable to any take over and BSM's share price is about 6 times in value so a script deal would work, BSM could spin out the tech component of the business to raise further cash.
BSM will also announce their Hellyer exploration JORC shortly IMO somewhere around the 2million Ton mark maybe even more of high grade Zinc/Lead/Copper/Gold/Silver. That would surely spark a recovery in the BSM share price back to around the 20c to 25c mark which by comparison would be over 10 times the current price of INL.
IMO if Mike (BSM) wanted the Hellyer Mill he’d have to act quickly as if and when metals prices improve and the Mill gets going again then the offer will need to be at a premium and would have little or no chance, while the giant mill is sitting idle could well be the perfect time to act.
Very interesting month a head folks, something is brewing.
