And so Mr or Mrs average read a glossy invitation to invest in a company, or are introduced to the company by a Uhmm financial planner, and with due diligence proceed with the investment, expecting at some time to enjoy a fair capital gain as the company progresses successfully and maybe even a dividend in the future. Unfortunately with this all to often system of opportunistic trading they see their shares held artificially low, sometimes for years as the the value of their shares diminish, often due to capital raising at unrealistically low share prices.
If it is legal to allow common folk to have their hard earned money gently lifted from their pockets by a minority of hard nosed money grabbers, then the law is an ass and should be changed ; or are there too many folk with the power to change this law, benefiting from this very practice.
