Yes but I think they were stymied for several reasons.

Firstly there was the unexpected by-in of Teck. Which meant a complete standoff. Because they took control of the project. Do you honestly think AZS were happy about Teck buying back in?

So then there was the need for a new project.
    Enter Oposura.

Then there were also the elections elections in Mexico. Which completely upended normal course of events in terms of governance and any project approvals. So Sara Alicia couldn't proceed to anything bigger (is my assumption of course, I don't know this for sure but it's logical because the size of the project must increase).

Then Teck fail to find anything of significance to them wasting a lot of everyone's time. But realising that AZS are better than them at finding anything, they capitulate to taking a share in AZS.
It's an inverted form of flattery at the very least.

Then the zinc prices change the economics of Oposura. And AZS is finally able to take control of Alacran.

Scattergun? Hardly, it's about taking a careful look at what went on, and not making gross generalisations.
AZS have an excellent team at finding resources. It's not always win / win for them but they win enough to be more than respectable as an explorer and things are starting to line up.

The price of gold for one thing is going up, and we're expecting to extend the resource at Alacran. If all goes well.

Time this company got some time in the sunshine.
