I have parents who are in the 70's and have medical issues. So yes, I am concern for them.

I have spent over $2.5k buying all sorts of sanitizer, gloves and masks. Right now, I am searching for far away accomodation where I can book for them to stay for 6 months.

I am not too concern about next year, as I think by this time next year, we should have a vaccine.

For myself, I am still young and healthy: I wake up at 5am every morning to go for a swim. And I have recovered from all previous flu within a few days, so I should be ok.

As to comparison to the number of deaths - the deaths from the Flu worldwide is 800 per day and the deaths from road toll in China is 684 per day.

The issue with this virus is its New and we know little about it and we don't have a vaccine for it yet. So people, governments and countries pacnic. But if they all apply the lock down measures that China applied, we should be over this within a few months.
