SPI Futures traded in yet another large point range last night, being 221 points, with a high of 6416, low of 6195, and a close 3 points off the top, at 6413, up 69 points, on high volume (for us), of 50,120 contracts. She did a small range after the open of the night session, then went down on a red arrow for 106 points at 19:45, then up with a 101 point green arrow at 1 am, and then put in a nice 83 point rally into the close. What's more impressive, is she did all that work without leaving one single unfilled gap, that I can see, which reflects a controlled and methodical game plan on part of the 'algo team'. Way to.. get ya a carton of beer for dat one. First Tuesday of the month, so the question is, to cut or not to cut, and if they do, will it be the usual 'it's good for market, so buy it up', or will it be 'oh my goodness, the sky is falling, sell the banks'. Looking at the big ranges, probably a bit of both, so, as George Soros said during the GFC.. "I think you have to be either very, very cautious, or you have to be very, very nimble." - words still appropriate for the market at the moment. Hopium injections for fiscal stimulus sees the DOW up a whopping 1,293 points, or 5.09 pct, SNP up 4.60 pct and Canada (resource driven), up less, at 1.78 pct. VIX down 16.68 pct to 33.42. Yes, folks, green on da screen, so it's all good again - until it isn't... Have a nice day.

Today in 2018, "The Emoji Movie" was named worst film in the Razzies awards. At the 38th Golden Raspberry Awards, it won in four categories: Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Screen Combo and Worst Screenplay, making it the first animated film to receive nominations and wins in any of those categories. As the film grossed $217 million worldwide, the emoji's were heard blowing raspberry's at their critics... and something about the middle finger... Yes, I hate it when it does that...
