Looks like the science indicates Fosterville is a good analogue for Malmsbury. Both systems seem to be the same age, an age that is a bit different for the Bendigo Zone. Both have alteration, fluid temperatures and vein textures consistent of shallow Epizonal orogenic gold system characteristics and high-grade gold mineralisation associated with an antimony phase which are again a bit different for the Bendigo Zone. Given the analogies and Fosterville’s bonanza grade mineralisation is developed at depth, it seems there is good depth potential at Malmsbury. I would think a systematic exploration program like what is underway is going to turn up some high-quality targets for drill testing. Just need to wait and see.
