MCO only managed to drill about 100 holes over the last 12 months (with its own drills) being a junior... so its JORC resource of 910,000 oz is a great result from minimal drilling.
this only came from one historic mine .. the Morningstar which still has 60% of unexplored dyke (the gold vein hosting rock) yet to be drilled and explored.

This is 1 mine, which hasnt even been half explored !

There were about 10 large mines that were similarly mined to a small degree .. as although the gold is known to go down 700 metres to 1000 metres in the area , the old miners nevertheless had to stop at the water table about 100 metres down.

There's 1,000 small workings on top of this.

The tenements produced about 2 mill oz .. according to incomplete records I'm sure there was a lot more produced from these shallow workings .

I'm sure there's a lot more high grade pure gold where it came from (as I said the Morningstar mine hasnt even been half explored yet) ... we might be looking at the tip of the iceberg.
