I can't answer for anyone else but my understanding is that the Jewish influence around their holy days can drive swings further. i.e. If they are bearish for the period of their holy days they may remove ALL their funds because they can not trade this period they have no control over their money.
Likewise if they are BULLISH for this period they will shove in ALL their money as they dont want to miss out on upside.
So I dont think they control the moves but they could possibly exaggerate the move one way or the other.
