It's interesting to speculate on what might become of the Petrol Station model.
Home, work, and car park charging stations will rip the arse out of the petrol station market turned charging station market.
And curiously, the convenience store attached to the servo model is another variable in the equation; have they established enough repeat business to reduce their dependency on the petrol pumps (a lot of people now visit them for small convenience shopping without buying petrol).
Shopping habits have changed; the trend is toward doing 3 to 4 little shops per week rather than the once per week big shop.
People are buying less supermarket food both because they are eating less and eating out more.
The rise of the mini-super markets.
And charging is interesting - there is only so much Power you can push through a charging cable without reaching dangerous voltage levels and huge amperage. Power = Current X Voltage.
It's going to be interesting.
