Be careful what you wish for fish. If planes don’t fly for 6 months then the interconnected world economy will be in real strife. You are talking about supply chains freezing, vital medicines in short supply or no supply. If credit markets get squeezed then you are well past recession and heading into very dark times. Just imagine if ordinary Yanks cannot get hold of their prescription medicines; many vital medical ingredients come from India and China. Rare earth processed minerals come from China and these are vital for electronic components that go into military and weapons applications. Is that what you really want?
I think travel will be restricted for at best another two months, then governments will loosen up and test whether the infection spread rate increases.
