You raise an interesting question. I am sure that the larger players supply directly. Certainly, 3M has a presence here and I am sure the hospitals and government agencies would have a direct tender price. At the base level of aged care and similar - yes I would expect PGC to see some of that increase. However, the scarcity of supply would probably limit upside in the short term.

There is an argument for adding Covid 19 to the annual list of illnesses that you can contract and die from. So, in fact, it may increase the level of protection and behaviours of all of us.

I don't know what will happen but what I do know is that business has changed forever and that globalisation is now a bad word. It means that companies will have to spread their supply chain so that they cannot end up killed off because they cannot access stock or components. The impact of this event will infold but the reality is that we never planned for this and that was wrong on many levels. Whatever the WHO says they really messed this up. They didn't call this early enough nor did they anticipate a China shutdown in manufacturing at this level. So after telling us, it's all okay now they tell us a Pandemic is inevitable ... They should have been advising and ensuring that the supply of medicine and product was secure to deal with an issue like this. Really its got to Germany banning the export of masks and gloves... This has been an unmitigated useless exercise always trying to play catchup after things have moved on.
