Very soon I would image, there is a new newsletter out for the TGO that states the following, which was sent by email to me yesterday.
The newsletter does not yet appear to have been posted to the website, so I have quoted from it.
"Successful summer shutdown
After nearly six years of continuous operation, the
TGO processing plant got a well-earned break for
eight weeks over summer. The plant was placed
into care and maintenance mode in mid- December,
allowing the TGO team to complete a major
overhaul and service, before successfully restarting
in mid-February.
We’ve replaced rubber skirtings, valves and
bearings, checked metal parts for corrosion (and
replaced where needed), poured new concrete –
just to name a few of the scores of maintenance
activities that have taken place.
This shutdown period also allowed us to build up
stockpiles of underground ore, which has been
accumulating during development of the mine. Ore
was first extracted from stopes in December. The
plant has resumed operations, processing a mix of
underground ore and residual low-grade stockpiles."
In addition the following is in the newsletter,
"Other site activities
While the processing plant underwent maintenance,
the underground development continued as
planned, with excellent progress. We’ve also
expanded the underground team to man the second
jumbo (and supporting equipment) purchased
last year.
A surface drilling program to test the upper extents
and continuation of one of the ore zones has also
been underway. Comprising 21 holes (approx.
5000m), the drill program is now nearing completion
with the surface drill planned to commence work
elsewhere on site.
TGO’s progressive site rehabilitation of the waste
rock emplacements (WRE) has now concluded.
Our surface rehabilitation contractor (Revegetation
and Erosion Control Services, ‘Reveg’) completed
outstanding rehabilitation works associated with
the WREs in December. This work consisted of
topsoil placement, seeding, strawing, construction
of drainage and water drop down structures. Reveg
completed demobilisation from site in January.
Tomingley Gold Extension Project
Resource definition drilling is continuing in the gold
corridor located just to the south of TGO. This is
part of an intensive exploration program aimed at
providing additional ore feed, either at surface or
underground, for future processing at TGO.
Drilling at the Roswell deposit was recently
completed and the first Inferred Resource
announced. Drilling is continuing at the San
Antonio and El Paso deposits, with the first Inferred
Resource for San Antonio anticipated in March.
TGO has also submitted an application to develop
the proposed exploration drive from the existing
underground operations (Wyoming One) to the San
Antonio and Roswell deposits, following approval
from the Regulator. As part of this, we have
purchased a farm property to the immediate south
of TGO, where a vent rise is planned.
Overall, the extension project continues to look
encouraging, and TGO is expediting the process
to move to mine development of the Roswell
and San Antonio prospects. We’ve commenced
consultation with some of the key stakeholders,
including landholders and regulators as part of the
approvals process.
If the project looks economically feasible, the next
steps would be to commence an application to the
Department of Planning, Industry and Environment,
followed by environmental studies (including
an Environment Impact Statement), landowner
discussions and obtaining all the required approvals
and licences for an underground and open cut
mining development.
Happy to see the government is finally indicating support for the DP project, and waiting on the overdue next drill results for Tomingley South and the now due results for Boda.
