Look I'm not having a go at you but that comment about Oz companies going o/s really takes the cake mate. It is so inward looking it's crazy. How else do companies expand if not outside their domestic market?? What would you suggest as an alternative? I'll give you the tip - you'd want to desert a company that didn't expand internationally. The Australian market is not the world and is only finite in its offerings. Add to that a possible new international taxation regime for companies with trading subs and you have the perfect excuse to go out there and start to make things happen. Sure, management has to have a role in making things work but by no means should companies like Qantas simply leave their heads in the sand and say "nup too hard"! That attitude is so short sighted it has no place in today's market.

The world awaits and if you want to make a company work and grow you must be willing to leave Australian shores. It's as simple as that.
