Pence far from perfect but he does defer to the experts on stuff he doesn't understand or isn't qualified to manage.

Trucks are starting to roll in China again but Europe is entering a mitigation phase (with plans) while Trump is continuing to tout conspiracy theories and there is no effective plan in place for the US. Trump can't even get his head around how to get people off a ship, let alone articulate appropriate public health and business continuity strategies.
