It seems we have a similar situation with Morrison. While sometimes he makes the right decision, it seems he does it belatedly after he has headed in the wrong direction. Usually after the blowback from the public. He then usually spends the first ten minutes trying to rewrite the story in his own favor before getting to the next action. I can only imagine Scott from marketing is not as smart as he thinks he is. To be fair, this is an incredibly dynamic situation. It would be terribly hard to make a decision when you take into account all the factors. This is a complex issue. I applaud the government's action to finally advise to limit public gatherings and recommend sensible upping of personal hygiene generally. Morrison saying that he is still going to the footy is incredibly stupid however. Public events are already impacted. Putting off things till Monday is just dumb and undermines the seriousness of this issue. The next couple of days of limiting the exposure is crucial in my view.

Gladys, Anna and Dan et have the powers under their State emergencies Acts to stop these events in the next second if they wished. Scott has no such power, except symbolic.
