1 Cor 6:18 does not include the word "other"
-----------
Other is included in many Bible translations that endeavor to convey a clear understanding. The Catholic Jerusalem Bible reads:
''All the other sins are committed outside the body;but to fornicate is to sin against your own body'' -1 Cor 6:18
Bibles that leave other out teach 2 opposite ideas in the one verse. Likewise Colossians would make no sense if it taught God through Christ created ''all things''. That would then mean God through Christ created God.
There is another example where Paul quoted a verse that said ''all things'' and then needed to qualify what was meant.
(1 Corinthians 15:27) For God “subjected all things under his feet.” But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that this does not include the One who subjected all things to him.
