The point is Jesus was clearly in control of the situation. Read the detail closely and you will see. He predicted his own death to disbelieving disciples many times and travelled to Jerusalem for the Passover when it was clear what the intent of the Church authorities was. Yet he still continued with his outrageous public claims. At his arrest..who was in control? Would it still have been a sacrifice if he was an unwilling participant anyhow?
