The company should consider a share buy back. The reasons are very compelling. The multiple at which the shares are trading, the low returns on cash, the level of EPS accretion and a demonstration on confidence and support in the share price. Buying into a portfolio of managers you know well is better than investing in a new business in these panicked markets. The return would be higher that buying into an established manager where there is risk of goodwill write offs.
