No, not with these two drugs (if you read the article). This is not a vaccine. There are two existing drugs that have been used extensively for HIV and malaria. The malaria drug is generic. As they are existing drugs and have already been used their safety profile is known. The drugs themselves seem to kill Covid-19 - at least in a test tube. The trial they are running is basically an effectiveness one that will include three arms, HIV drug, malaria, and combination therapy. Reportedly some Chinese patients have been requesting these drugs in Australia and I believe they have been prescribed off label and initial response has been good.
