I don't see how this is the case given they went through the GFC without and issue, the central banks are pumping money into the system. They would match their liabilities with their investments, so unless that have bought crap corporate paper then they should been fine.
As another poster said, given what has just happened guaranteed annuities would look pretty good right now.
