Not discarding altogether Tysons...simply subtracting to demonstrate the influence of the high-grade core on the much longer, much lower-grade downhole intersection using the principles of weighted averaging.
1200m of moderate grade minus 100m of high grade leaves 1100 of low grade rubbish.
The issue I take with ALK's reporting is in the apparent combining of two, distinct geologic (grade) domains into one by using a lower cutoff grade that is, IMHO, "unreasonable".
If they put the two, higher grade intersections together on a plan you would see the effects on any interpretation immediately.
I would encourage ALK to pursue definition of the high grades and chase them to surface and along strike to establish the economics of future mining.
