We are both old enough to of lived through drops like this before but none of us has lived through a pandemic as bad as the Spanish Flu. I agree with Womtrade that its going to get much worse before we turn the corner. I was gobsmacked by the F wits who despite seeing the tragedy unfolding in Italy were packed in like sardines on the Beaches In Bondi and Florida and cafes here and abroad as well. We had our chance to level the infection rate curve but I think in the next month our Hospitals are going to be overrun as well and the sad thing is it was all preventable.

Womtrade, its going to be a new world for awhile but just like every other pandemic we will get on top of it, a vaccine will be found and all this will become a footnote in history until another virus with a new name makes the jump from animal to human.

H00ts I get where you are saying and I agree both here and the US are yet to see or are prepared with the reality of what is to come. Just like what happened in the last GFC who can pick the bottom of a stock. I was happy with my $28 entry into CBA. This time I have bought into CBA,ANZ,BHP,MQG and a few others at prices no one would of believed we would see again only a few weeks ago. I know over the next 6 to 12months many of them will continue to get pounded but I have said I will add a bit to each of them every time they fall another 15% from their buy in price. In the end its not likely any of these too big to fail companies are going under and they will, like history has shown us in time recover and hit new ATH. I can wait it out as whatever dividends are paid and our COH will cover us until this passes even if it takes 2yo or more for the worst of it to pass.
