Hi all,
Given that RAP's integration with Coviu and rollout is due to happen soon, I believe the next phase of Telehealth is fast approach and on the horizon. Following Health Minister Greg Hunt's press conference today, here's what was announced (summary from ABC news):
"For those who may not know what we're talking about here, this concerns patients being able to call their local GP and have a chat to them over the phone and still have that bulk billed.
So from Monday, all of those consults will be made available via the phone line. At the moment, what's in place is only for vulnerable people: those over the age of 70, pregnant women, people with a chronic illness. Because of the concern around coronavirus spreading, the Government is moving to a system whereby you no longer have to see your GP face-to-face unless you need tests such as a blood test or any other issues regarding physical health."
If RAP's integration can happen earlier than what was originally announced in Nov 2019 (which we all think it will given TK's recent investor call), this will be a huge news to RAP. Let's hope this news will be announced soon and the details of the rollout with Coviu. When next Monday comes around (30th March), we can expect patients/GPs start using ResApp!
FYI, following Greg's press conference at noon today, there have been some accumulation happening...
